When submitting your service tracking logs, a yellow warning message instead of a green confirmation message indicates errors. This article will help you understand these errors.

Identifying Errors:

  • Yellow Triangle: This appears next to rows with errors, hover over it for more details.

  • Red Cell: This highlights the specific cell causing the issue, hover over it for more details.

Validating Each Cell:

  • Date: Required, cannot be in the future, and cannot be a blackout date set by your administrator (unavailable dates for log submissions).

  • Time: Required, Must be between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, and cannot exceed 480 minutes (8 hours).

  • Student: Required.

  • Service Area: Required.

  • Goal: Required, and Goal minutes need to match the total minutes served.
    • To recalculate quickly, double-click the goal cell, then click the calculator icon in the bottom left corner.

  • Notes: Required if the student was not absent.

Overlaps and Duplicates:

  • Logs cannot overlap for the same student. A yellow row with a flashing duplicate (on hover) indicates this issue. Edit or remove these logs before submitting.

Understanding Warnings:

You may see various warnings on the grid, usually if a cell is highlighted in yellow this means that your attention should be drawn here, but you can still submit.

  • Log Lockout: If you submit a log created outside the allowed timeframe set by your administrator, a warning will appear. You can still submit, but they'll be notified.

  • Minutes Over 120: Logs exceeding 120 minutes will trigger a warning, but submission is still allowed as long as it's under the 480-minute limit.

  • Service Out of Date: Logs submitted outside your service's start and end dates will trigger a warning, but submission is still possible.
